Wessex Award New Group of 27 No. EDM's to HANEVO
Wessex Water have confirmed the award to Hanevo, of a further 27 No. Event Duration Monitoring (EDM) Sites as part of a rolling contract.
The EDM project comprises Electrical and Commissioning works, to existing and new flow monitoring installations, to ensure all Spills to the Environment are captured and recorded by Wessex Water.
This ongoing contract has been running since January 2022 and the new award will increase the number of sites from 86 No. to 116 No. The new additions will increase the programme duration into and beyond April 2023.
Due to the varied scope of works and the location of some monitoring equipment (i.e under manholes in roads) a number of parties must be engaged to ensure works can be completed. These include Traffic Management, Gatic Covers Lifting Crews, WW Automation, IS E2E Testing Department who all work together in conjunction with Hanevo Electrical and Commissioning teams.
To ensure the rolling programme is resourced and planned in the most logistically efficient way, Hanevo and Wessex Water Project Managers collaborate in the up-front planning process.
HANEVO has gained an enviable reputation in managing multi-site schemes of this nature, with proven delivery on previous projects such as Private Pumping Station Upgrades (90 sites) and EDM Operations (220 sites). This work is all undertaken in recent years under the ongoing EM&I framework.
Paul Jukes, HANEVO Electrical Engineer for the Wessex region noted: “It is a great accomplishment to have retained this contract for over a year now, and to surpass the 100 site milestone is a great testament to our ability to deliver schemes of this nature. We are working to a complex programme, with a number of parties involved, but this has not hindered successful delivery to date. We are delighted to receive the award of additional sites and we look forward to the successful delivery of these”.
