Hanevo has been awarded the project to install new Ferric Storage Tanks at the Westbury and Thingley STW’s. The works at both sites involve Civil & M&E requirements and includes the disconnection, removal & disposal of the existing chemical storage tanks in conjunction with the transportation, installation, and commissioning of 2 x new Ferric Storage Tanks. The programme has been developed to enable the two sites to run concurrently, by utilising reliability periods to fully optimise install durations. The project is now in design and procurement stage, with site enabling works due to commence later this month. The overall project is expected to run for 10 weeks.

Simon Longley, HANEVO Contracts Manager for the Wessex region, noted pre commencement planning is underway. “Following the successful delivery of the recent ‘Frome STW Recirculation PS upgrade’ project, and our ongoing delivery of the Event Duration Monitoring contract, We have proven our understanding of Wessex Water’s requirements.
