Wessex Water have confirmed the award to Hanevo, of the ‘Vale Road – Sludge Screening M&E Works’.



The project comprises Principal Contractor management of Mechanical, Electrical and Commissioning works, to install a new MCC & Kiosk, Access Staircase, Strainpress Chutes, Break Tank, Various new pumps, pipework, valves and accessories c/w with associated instrumentation.

The driver for this project is to ensure that the S Max is safe by reducing H2S Concentrations. Alternative screening provisions for imported sludge is required to remove any rags from the thickened sludge transferred from Yeovil to Ham thus maximising reactor operational capacity. Works will commence on site in March 2024 and are programmed to complete in July 2024. HANEVO has gained an enviable reputation, with proven delivery on previous and current live projects of this nature such as Swanage UV, Chilton Saltlands Penstocks, Chemical Dosing tank replacements, Frome STW Recirc PS Upgrade, Private Pumping Station Upgrades (90 sites) and numerous EDM installations (400 sites). This work has all been undertaken in recent years under the ongoing EM&I framework.
