Wessex Water have confirmed the order for the “Saltford Chemical Tank Replacements” Contract to Hanevo. The Contract is awarded under the new “AMP8 M&E Contractors Minor Works Framework - Lot 1”. The project requires Hanevo to act as Principal Contractor to complete Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Commissioning works, to replace the existing 4 x aging chemical dosing tanks with new.

Sequencing is crucial to ensure there is continuous dosing available throughout the replacement period and involves modifying the existing pipework and valving arrangements to allow for pairs of tanks to be replaced at a time. This will also future proof the system in the event that any one tank needs to be removed individually if ever required in the future.

This award follows the success of similar projects in 2023 at Westbury and Thingley. In parallel with this Saltford order, HANEVO have also recently been awarded the Shepton Tanks project, which has similar requirements and both awards allows for efficient coordination between both projects.

This project commences March 2026.
