Wessex Water were required to adopt all private pumping stations under Section 105a of the private sewer of the Private Sewer Transfer Regulations, across their operating region, which required survey and then upgrades to an adoptable standard.  

Hanevo provided Wessex Water a full turnkey solution on 89 sites, which involved stakeholder consultation with the various Wessex Water internal departments and property owners to ensure the private pumping stations were compliant with adoptable standards and ensuring operation in accordance with Wessex Water’s specification and standard supplier agreements. This enabled Hanevo to deliver the necessary efficiency with the highest level of service.

Our works were delivered in two phases utilising predominantly our internal resources supported by specialist supply chain. to assess monitoring compliance & identify solutions to improve performance.

To ensure a smooth process Hanevo agreed a schedule of rates with Wessex Water to allow a outturn cost to be agreed at the time of survey ensuring a smooth transfer from survey into construction. 

Phase 1

Survey existing Private Pumping Station against adoptable standards and update Wessex Water Data base as required.

Survey and record GSM signal coverage for telemetry equipment 

Define and design scope of works required to comply with adoptable standards. 

Agree programme with all stakeholders including the DNO for transfer of power supply

Phase 2 

Pumps, pipework and fittings

Guide Rails, chains and hooks

Floats

Control Panels including kiosks bases and ducting

Telemetry via 4G routers

New secure covers and davit arms Access and landscaping works

Construction of replacement pumping stations and valve chambers where modification was not feasible.
