SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability

Our commitment to ‘Sustainability’ is to aspire to be an industry leader in the way we mange the environmental impacts, including carbon, across our all of our operations.

We actively review all of our activities to reduce our negative impacts on the environment and carbon emissions while using technology and innovation to maximise our own and customer’s opportunities. This is reflected in our accreditations to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and Achilles UVDB Verify. Hanevo, its employees and supply chain are committed to the highest standards of Occupational Health & Safety and Carbon Emissions Reduction.

We will achieve this through:
  • Understanding our stakeholders expectations and requirements with regard to the environment
  • Engaging with the communities and organisations affected by our operations to understand their views and aspirations
  • Ensuring our employees and delivery partners have the competence to continually improve our environmental performance
  • Assessing and reducing the environmental impacts of our work.
Our long term objectives are:
  • Use energy efficiently and to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, focusing particularly carbon.
  • Reduction of waste through reducing through recycling or down cycling
  • Proactively select and use, where possible, materials and technologies that reduce the impact on the environment
  • Reduce the demand and recycle water resources when possible
  • Proactively work to maximise biodiversity and, where feasible, create biodiversity net gain
  • Reduce emissions to air from our projects, road vehicles, mobile and stationary equipment and processes
  • Minimise the negative impact of our operations on water, land and soil quality.
