In December 2017 the Environment Agency made two significant changes to the discharge licence at Tidworth WWTW, which was originally constructed in the 1940’s. The changes in the licencing conditions required the ability to treat an increased dry weather flow and reduce the total nitrogen discharge. 

Hanevo was appointed by Veolia Water who are the site operators, to design and construct a scheme to meet the requirements to bring the site within compliance of the new licence. 

Hanevo was appointed as both principal designer and contractor in accordance with CDM2015. 

During the pre-construction phase Hanevo’s design team work closely with Veolia Water to develop a Totex efficient solution.

Mechanical Installation Works included: 
Modification to allow automation of the inlet channel to achieve compliance. Install ‘Amajet’ tank cleaning systemo Install six ‘Aquatreat’ aerators including gearboxes and motors within existing mixer cells while they remained live    
Install new recycling pumps and pipework within aeration lanes
Install new RAS pumps within the exiting dry well
Modify Sludge removal from the Final Settlement Tank.

Electrical Installation Works included: 
Install four new MMC’s within new security rated Kiosks and remove exiting MMC and Kiosk
Install ‘Hach’ real time control system Install auto start to exiting storm return pumps
Instatall flow meters to RAS pumps
New cabling and containment.

Hanevo carried out all integration, commissioning and training of operations team.
