Completed in April 2026, Hanevo delivered the phased redevelopment of the MAU and Maternity Unit facilities at Epsom Hospital to increase maternity capacity and improve clinical environments.

The project involved the refurbishment and repurposing of clinical and office spaces to create additional delivery suites, maternity assessment areas and staff facilities.



All works were undertaken around live maternity service provision, with phased access and decant arrangements carefully coordinated throughout the programme.

Works included:

• Full asbestos removals within roof void spaces undertaken out of hours
• Strip-out of building fabric, wall demolitions and structural alterations
• Installation of suspended ceilings, partitions, floor and wall finishes and kitchen fit-outs
• Medical gas additions and alterations
• Mechanical upgrades including ventilation systems, domestic water and heating alterations
• Extensive electrical works including DB replacements, switchgear alterations, lighting, power, data and nurse call systems
