Completed in April 2026, Hanevo delivered the refurbishment and repurposing of redundant plant and storage areas within the Wells Wing at Epsom Hospital to create new workshop and bed storage facilities.

The project provided dedicated areas for medical equipment maintenance, patient bed storage and charging facilities, alongside significant upgrades to mechanical, electrical and data infrastructure.



Works were carefully coordinated around live operating theatres directly above the work areas, with disruptive activities planned around clinical operating schedules.

Works included:

• Strip-out of building fabric, wall demolitions and structural alterations
• Removal of existing mechanical and electrical plant including AHU equipment
• Installation of suspended ceilings, partitions, finishes and kitchen fit-outs
• Medical gas additions including new AGSS and AVSU installations
• Mechanical upgrades including MVHR ventilation systems, domestic water and heating alterations
• Extensive electrical and data infrastructure upgrades including new comms cabinet and additional outlets
