Completed in December 2025, Hanevo delivered the replacement of the D Block goods lift at St Helier Hospital to restore critical access to basement plant and storage areas.

The project involved extensive structural alterations to the existing lift shaft to accommodate a new 1000kg chain-driven electric goods lift with additional landing levels.



The works were coordinated around ongoing hospital operations in adjacent and occupied areas.

Works included:

• Installation of protective hoardings and full-height shaft scaffold
• Strip-out of existing lift equipment and shaft preparation works
• Structural alterations and formation of new landing openings
• Waterproofing and fire protection works within the lift shaft
• Installation of new 1000kg chain-driven electric lift and landing gates
• Electrical upgrades, shaft lighting installations and LOLER certification
