SCBU & Isolation Unit AHU Replacement - Epsom Hospital

Completed in January 2024, Hanevo delivered this design and build project to replace two end-of-life Air Handling Units serving the Special Baby Care Unit and Isolation Room at Epsom General Hospital.

The works were undertaken within a live hospital environment, with extensive liaison carried out with ward teams and clinical stakeholders to minimise operational disruption and maintain critical patient care provision throughout the programme.

  • Medical gas installations including AVSU, pipework and alarm systems
  • UPS equipment, containment and cabling installations
  • Hygienic wall cladding and vinyl flooring installations

  • Sectional removal and replacement of AHUs within constrained plant spaces
  • Adaptations to retained ductwork, pipework and electrical infrastructure
  • Duct cleaning and installation of new fire and smoke dampers and controls equipment
  • BMS modifications, air flow testing and pressure environment balancing
  • Structural steel support installations to roof mounted AHU systems
