Hanevo undertook this full £400k (inc. VAT) Design and Build Catheterisation Laboratory enabling project for Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, assisting in the provision of critical patient care services.

Works were undertaken on the Epsom General Hospital campus in a busy area of the healthcare estate, directly adjacent to live patient services within the Woodcote Wing and operational parking areas used by staff and public users.



With the proprietary Catheterisation Laboratory delivered in mid-May by Agito (Philips), Hanevo completed the new build link corridor and ancillary store building in just over four weeks, including all internal building fabric, mechanical, electrical and medical gas installations.

Works included:

• Internal alterations of consultant office space including remodelling and internal finishes
• Demolition and structural alterations to link into existing facilities
• Strip foundations and block and beam floor slabs
• Structural SFS framing supporting an SFS roof structure
• Insulation and metal cladding works
• Internal fit-out including partitions, ceilings, decorations and vinyl floor finishes
• New fire doors and steel external doors
• Mechanical works including new incoming water mains, air conditioning and heating
• Electrical works including small power, lighting, new incoming mains supply and distribution boards
• Specialist services including medical gas, fire alarms, access control and CCTV
• External works including new footpaths, concrete ramps and handrailing
• Drainage works tying into existing mains
• Assistance in preparation and installation of the modular laboratory unit
