SAF Installation - Bishops Caundle

Hanevo completed the ‘Bishops Caundle SAF Installation’ project in August 2025, totalling £36k. This project focussed on reducing ammonia levels from the primary filter bed.

Acting as Principle Contractor, Hanevo managed the construction phase of the project, consisting:

  • Civils Work – to intercept the BioFilter pipework to HST and create a sump for a pump which will feed the side stream.
  • Mechanical Work – Installation of new pump and pipework from new Sump to SAF Filter and returning back into sump post wier.
  • Electrical Work – Installation of new Distribution Board to accommodate additional supplies to SAF plant and associated equipment.
  • Telemetry and Commissioning

Richard Gray, Project Engineer for Hanevo notes - “The Bishops Caundle SAF Installation was delivered to address process performance and improve ammonia reduction at the site. Acting as Principal Contractor, Hanevo coordinated civils, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning activities to deliver a fully integrated solution that enhanced treatment efficiency and operational resilience.”
